History

In 1979, Kaiser – Lang FERTAN – SAAR was founded as a sole proprietorship, import and export of chemical products for metal surface treatment.

In 1983 the legal form of the company was changed to a limited liability company and the FERTAN GmbH also took over the representation of the products of the Italian manufacturer I.T.B. Spa. Headquartered in Milan. The I.T.B. Spa. was at that time the leading manufacturer in Southern Europe for chemical products for metal surfaces.

Founding of ITB Deutschland GmbH as a subsidiary of ITB Srl Milan.

In 1997, the I.T.B. Spa. acquired by Henkel Surface Technologies in Düsseldorf and FERTAN was initiated by the current shareholder of Henkel KGaA and since then has existed as a group-independent company, but still in close cooperation with F & E.

In 1999, a cooperation was established with the company SESAM, which has been established in Flensburg for more than 30 years, and since then the products of the Flensburg manufacturer have been an integral part of the (winter care) products of the FERTAN company.

In the year 2001 the FERTAN GmbH could take over a regionally active dealer, which was a strong partner of the wholesale trade, but also of car dealerships and authorities, for hand cleaner in the southwest German area. He had represented the products of the internationally renowned manufacturer CALDIC and in 2002, FERTAN was able to take over the complete range of hand cleansers, skin care and skin protection from CALDIC and since then these products have also been marketed internationally.

At the end of the year 2004 the relocation took place from the meanwhile much too small storage and production areas in Saarbrücken, into the industrial park AW – halls Saarbrücken, where both the ambience of the historical buildings fits to the company philosophy, as the most modern production and logistics are brought together could.

New production line takes off to fulfill growing demand for FERTAN Products.
